Your Activity Card
Cardboard
Castle
Build your very own fortress with cardboard, glue, and imagination! Perfect for knights, dragons, and rainy afternoons.
What's in your kit
2 cardboard sheets
printed activity card
2 glue sticks
flag cutout & tape
Let's build it!
1
Gather your pieces
Lay out both cardboard sheets. Take a moment to feel the cardboard — thick and strong, ready to become something great. You have everything you need in the box.
2
Cut the castle walls
Using the guide lines on the activity card as your template, cut a tall rectangle (about 8×6 inches) for the main wall. Then cut two smaller squares (about 3×3 inches) for the towers. Ask a grown-up to help with the bigger cuts.
3
Cut the tower tops
Cut a small triangle from each tower square — this will be the top of each tower. Now cut two more thin strips from the leftover cardboard for the battlements (the jagged top edges of castle walls).
4
Fold and score
Fold the main wall in half gently — just a light score, not a full crease. This is where the towers will attach. Fold the battlements along their length so they stand up slightly.
5
Glue the towers in place
Put a thin line of glue along the folded edge of the main wall. Press one tower flat against it, holding for 10 seconds. Do the same with the second tower on the opposite side.
6
Add the door and windows
Cut a small arch or rectangle from your leftover cardboard for the castle door. Glue it to the front of the main wall. Add two small windows using the same method — or just draw them with a pencil!
7
Add your flag
Tape the flag cutout to a thin strip of cardboard to make a flagpole. Poke it through the middle of the main wall or tape it to the top. Your castle is ready for its kingdom!

Pro Tips for a Great Build
- Let the glue dry for a full minute before moving the castle — it holds much better that way.
- Thicker cardboard (corrugated, not thin) makes stronger towers that won't bend.
- Add details with crayons or markers: brick lines, a coat of arms, window shutters.
- Two castles side by side with a cardboard moat and paper boats = instant kingdom.
- For younger kids (3–5), pre-cut the walls and just have them glue the towers on.
